We have plenty of these guys around are area, though most coyote's are shy and avoid humans. He's lucky to have found one soo friendly.

yeh he does seem pretty playful.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't even want to get near one because I know they aren't normally friendly.
Coyotes usually leave you alone.
DeleteSo far I really only know of one person who'd ever gotten attacked and killed by coyotes.
Most of the time, these guys are a bunch of scaredie-cats.
My dad told me he once snook up on one to get a closer look, then the coyote saw him and ran for the hills, terrified.
And the only reason that girl died from the attack from the coyotes is because she started to run.
DeleteNEVER run when faced with predators. (especially if they can outrun you)
Running sets off a predatorial instinct in the animal to want to chase and hunt you down, cause now they see you as prey.
Yeh just like with dogs and if you start running, they chase you.
